These are unusual times, and the state of affairs can change quickly. Please check the latest travel guidance before making your journey. Our writers visited these hotels pre-pandemic.
Dublin Airport lies 14 km (nine miles) north of Dublin city centre but, unusually for a European capital, there’s no rail or tram link from the airport to the city, and taxis are expensive – budget €25-€30 (£21-£26) for the ride. Happily, several excellent coach services operate: the big blue Aircoach (aircoach.ie) offers a reliable service to central Dublin, departure points directly outside both terminal buildings, and reasonable fares (tickets from €7/£6). For the ultimate convenience, see our pick of the best Dublin Airport hotels for comfortable rooms, grab-and-go breakfasts, boarding pass printing services, walkable terminal distances, and easy parking, whether you’re starting or ending a Dublin trip, or have an early or late flight to catch. All offer free shuttles to the terminal buildings, too.
