While accommodation may not be swanky, this resort offers a good combination of value options such as the stylish People Hostel teamed with pricier and more luxurious hotels and apartments with couples, families and groups are well-catered for. New for 21/22 are a number of luxury chalets and residences including Chalet l’Atelier, formerly a carpentry workshop. Also new is a 30-room hostel, the Base Camp Lodge, which opens in the resort centre offering good value doubles, family and dormitory rooms.
Hotels
The People Hostel
Opened in 2018/20, guests can ski to the door and there’s a free shuttle service to the lifts. Accommodation is in twin or group rooms and the six-bed dormitories have private bathrooms making it a good option for families. The People Hostel also has a well-equipped kitchen and communal lounge.

Residence L’Ours Blanc
Located near the Diable lift, L’Ours Blanc has facilities including an indoor heated pool and a relaxation area with gym and steam room.

Hotel Le Souleil’Or
A comfortable three-star, the Souleil’Or is at the foot of the slopes. The 42 rooms are decorated in classic Alpine style and all have a balcony with mountain views. There’s a spa with a steam room, hot tub and fitness area.

Les Lutins
In the resort centre, a short walk to the main Jandri Express lift, Les Lutins is based on the first bar to open in Les Deux Alpes back in 1959. The 14 simply-furnished rooms range from singles to family rooms and the bar and restaurant are still going strong and popular with locals.

Le Chamois Lodge
A modern, four-star hotel in the centre of the resort with contemporary, south-facing rooms and a well-regarded restaurant. Le Chamois also has a well-stocked wine cellar and cocktail bar, and is 300m from the lifts.

Chalethotel Le Crêt
Simple but well-furnished, two-star Le Crêt has a large lounge, a bar, and a reputation for good food. It’s situated 120m from the nearest lift and 350m from the ski school meeting place.

Côte Brune
A smart, modern family-run chalet-style hotel with lots of wood inside and out, the Côte Brune is right at the foot of the slopes. There’s a lovely rustic restaurant, outdoor terrace and an umbrella bar for après ski. The spa has a hot tub, sauna and steam rooms.

Chalets and apartments
Chalet Mounier
Rather than a chalet, Mounier is a family-run four-star hotel with a Michelin-starred restaurant and an Oriental-themed spa. Treatments include Bali massage and there’s a pool, sauna, hot tub and gym. Mounier has come a long way since it was built in 1879 as a refuge for climbers.

Chalet Chamois Volant
Based on a 19th century stone farmhouse with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, Chamois Volant has been skilfully converted into the resort’s smartest rental chalet, with seven en suite bedrooms and a hot tub on the terrace. It’s well placed for shops, restaurants, and nightlife, while the six-seater Le Diable chairlift is 230m away.

Neige et Soleil
Opened in 2020/21, the four-star Neige et Soleil offers apartments located in the Grand Plan area, 200m from the slopes, nearest lifts and ESF meeting point. The accommodation is elegant and all have a balcony or terrace as well as their own ski locker. There is free underground parking, plus a wellness area with a pool, sauna, steam room and spa.
