UAE yacht builder, Gulf Craft, has delivered the Majesty 175 to its owner. Mohammed Alshaali, co-founder and chairman of Gulf Craft, has said that the yacht is its crown jewel that also demonstrates the builder’s capabilities of manufacturing yachts.
The yacht was first debuted at the Dubai Harbour, with an overall length of 56.4 metres and a beam of 9.6 metres. The Majesty 175 is the world’s largest composite production superyacht and underlines Gulf Craft’s position as Middle East’s leading yacht builder.
Italy’s Cristiano Gatto Design Studio handled the ships’ interior and exterior with the naval architecture by Massimo Gregori of the Yankee Delta Studio. The yacht was fully manufactured at the Gulf Craft’s production facility in Umm Al Quwain. The Majesty 175 was built following the specifications outlined by the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
The ship features seven staterooms, a private captain’s cabin and six cabins for 10 crew members. The yacht also has a gym, a 5-metre infinity pool with a swim-jet system at the forward deck, and a sky lounge that can be turned into an open sun deck.
The Majesty 175 has a top speed of 16.5 knots, and a cruising speed of 10 knots. It also has safety features including a Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) rescue boat and an emergency generator.
“The innovative composite design and engineering of the Majesty 175 are a testament to our position as a pioneer in the global yachting industry. We have created an exceptional world-first vessel on our home soil which was four years in the making, despite the challenges of the pandemic. It is a very proud moment to see her leave our facilities and set off on voyages around the globe,” Alshaali said.
Also in yachting news, The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) closed on October 31. There were fewer yachts on display this year, but more serious buyers as compared to previous editions of the show. There were several debuts including Sanlorenzo’s SL 106A and Ferretti Group’s Pershing 6X.
Sunseeker’s Predator 65 will be having its global debut next year at Boot Düsseldorf in January. The yacht is 67 feet wide with an aerodynamic exterior with tinted glazing. Boot Düsseldorf will be happening from January 22 to January 30, 2022.
