St Moritz’s après scene is muted compared to Swiss rivals like Zermatt or Verbier, but there are still huts on the mountain for lingering in over a final drink before descending to bars in the valley. The after dinner scene is sophisticated and, naturally given St Moritz’s reputation for upmarket glamour, expensive.
With its high-class shopping on Via Serlas, whether at Cartier, Hermès or a fine Swiss chocolatier, art galleries and spas, après-ski activities aren’t limited to bars and cafés either. St Moritz also offers a host of varied winter activities and outdoor events throughout the season, most focusing on the frozen lake – including horse-drawn carriage rides, snow polo championships, the White Turf horse racing event and skating.
