Not the Best Day… But Great Indian Japanese Food

I have to admit Day 13 went nothing like I wanted it to or as I had planned… but that sometimes happens in travel (and life), and we can get frustrated and annoyed, or we can make the most of it and try to look for the good and positive.

00:56 Ghar Curry家 – After trying to go to a few other restaurants that were all closed, we finally found Ghar Curry家, a restaurant that just happened to be open near where we already were. The food, which was Indian but with Japanese influence, turned out to be really good. If you are looking for amazing curry, they are doing a wonderful job.

Ghar Curry家
Address: 西区京町堀1-9-10-103, Osaka, Japan 550-0003
Open hours: 11:30 am – 2 pm for lunch daily, 6 pm – 10 pm for dinner on weekdays only
Prices: My lunch curry cot 850 JPY
Website: http://ghar-curry.com/
How to get there: Take the subway to Hommachi station, take Exit 28, and it’s just a short walk from there.

4:22 Osaka Aquarium (Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan) – One of the final things we wanted to do in Osaka was go to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. It turned out to be really wonderful… but unfortunately since it was a holiday, it was extremely busy – it was basically single file through the entire Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, but nevertheless, it was a great place to visit. We paid 2,550 JPY for entrance, which included an all day subway pass for Osaka.

6:18 Tempozan Ferris Wheel – 800 JPY ($6.67) – After the aquarium, we headed over to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and had a nice rice on the wheel with a great view of Osaka. I thought it was well worth it.

For dinner we ate at a ramen restaurant called Nosta Osaka in the Namba area, but unfortunately they didn’t want me to film – so sorry I can’t show you any of it. The ramen was alright, with a big portion, but it was a bit too salty.

Not the best day in Osaka, but still alright.

Stay tuned for tomorrow – a big final food day!
