One of New York City’s buzziest 2023 restaurants just added more opportunities to book a highly coveted table.
Bad Roman, Quality Branded’s over-the-top Italian restaurant in Columbus Circle, will kick off weekend brunch service on Saturday, July 29.
The new daytime menu includes a variety of shareable items, plus a fun kids menu. Like Bad Roman’s TikTok-famous dinner offerings, the brunch menu draws inspiration from Italian cooking around the world, from the Italian countryside to New York’s Little Italy just a few miles south of the dining room.
Bad Roman’s new brunch highlights include a housemade chocolate and hazelnut spread aka Nutella Fatti in Casa; brioche French toast with blueberry conserva, lemon cream and pistachio; baked eggs alla carbonara with La Quercia pancetta and caramelized onions; and chilled lobster and campari tomato salad with avocado, arugula and mango.
Dinnertime favorites will also be served, including the roasted garlic babka, spicy gem caesar, ‘roni cups with ranch, and filetto cacio e pepe. And to keep the meal family-friendly, a new weekends-only kids menu offers little gem soldiers with Caesar dip, a greens challenge (eat all your veggies, get a prize), cacio no pepe, chicken parm fingers, and more. Mocktails and decaf espresso are also on the menu for little ones.
For adults, a new brunch cocktail menu includes the Instagrammable “Teeny Bellini Tree” i.e. a $60 shareable “tree” of glasses filled with prosecco with white peach, grapefruit, and strawberry purees. The Bad Roman Bloody Mary is made with cherry pepper mignonette and a signature espresso martini shakes up Mr. Black coffee liqueur with cacao and yucca. Of course, Bad Roman’s signature martinis are available as well, including the pickley Martini Pepperoncini with Grey Goose, pepperoncini brine and lemon zest.
One big perk of brunch at Bad Roman: The view. The third floor restaurant overlooks Central Park. Inside, Bad Roman’s space is maximalist: Lush greenery drapes from the ceilings, banquettes are upholstered in a range of bright orange hued fabrics, mosaics, tilework and blown glass all adorn the space.
Bad Roman’s brunch is now served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm. Reservations are available through OpenTable, with limited seating still available for the first weekend of brunch service. Weekday lunch is also served at Bad Roman, with a menu similar to the dinner offerings.
