FoodieCon, An Instagram Food Influencer Event, To Debut In New York This Fall

Here’s your chance to spot Food Influencers in the Wild. Or just see some of your favorite creators outside your phone screen.

On October 14th, the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (NYCWFF) will debut a brand new all-day, event FoodieCon.

The first-of-its-kind convention, sponsored by Instagram, will be hosted by food and beverage influencers and content creators. This one day event within NYCWFF is an all-day experience for all ages, aiming to explore the intersection of food, culture and social media. Proceeds will support NYCWFF’s charitable partner, God’s Love We Deliver, which offers life-sustaining meal delivery and nutrition counseling to sick New Yorkers.

Hard Rock Hotel New York will be the headquarters for FoodieCon, which will consist of book signings, workshops, panels, discussions, competitions and more. Opportunities to mingle over food and drink will also be offered at the convention, which runs from 12 pm – 5:30 p.m.

Confirmed talent includes 15 top creators include including Nick DiGiovanni (@nick.digiovanni, 1.9MM followers), Gianluca Conte, (@itsqcp, 2MM followers), Nadia Caterina Munno (@the_pastaqueen, 2.1MM followers), Nicole Keshishian Modic (@kalejunkie, 1.1M followers), Chris Joe (@cj.eats, 762K followers), Palak Patel (@thecutneylife, 247K followers), Fabrizio Villalpando (@theemoodyfoody, 128K followers), Tiffany Chen (@tiffanytchen, 385K followers), Nasim Lahbichi (@lahbco, 368K followers) and Jake Cohen (@jakecohen, 1MM followers).

Originally launched as part of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One in February 2023, FoodieCon gained instant popularity. The event sold out to an audience of consumers, influencers, and industry folks alike.

Due to popular demand, FoodieCon will make its formal debut in New York with a more robust talent lineup and programming. As the NYCWFF evolves, the annual event aims to include the ever-changing food-media landscape, exploring the role of social media and a new generation of tastemakers. Instagram food lovers may also be interested in events including the Best of Brooklyn tasting with @BrianCantStopEating, a demo and dine at Platform by James Beard with @The_PastaQueen, and more weekend events hosted by viral food influencers.
